Thanks for posting about this site. In it, I have learned of a FL senator (Jones) who was smitten with a Detroit heiress. He refused to go back to Washington for legislature, instead was trying to win the affections of the 30-yr-old woman who wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. He proposed after only meeting her twice (and not even "dates" at that!). At the time of the article he'd been pursuing her for about 2-3 months. I haven't yet learned whether or not (or, I should say, when) he gave up and headed back to work. Sensational journalism existed ago :-) Also, there is the story of a married man "eloping" with his brother's wife, each leaving behind 5 children apiece. The left-behind brother files for divorce (learned in a later article), and finally, the two elopees return home to their respective families. It leaves you to wonder what became of these lives......... Then there are the anecdotes of rabies being cured, or warded off, by the "mad-stone". If you love history, you'll love these newspaper articles, even if you don't have family in the immediate county. Tracey
