Thanks Jettie, I've checked every where I can think of, I have a little news clip telling that sheriff Elliot Donnell shot a man, and Deputy Chism took over his duties, and was elected Sheriff in 1910. Elliot Donnell was married to Zorah Williams, James Aden Chism married her sister, Pearl William 1 Nov 1910 in Cleburne Co. Zorah and Pearl were daug's of Jesse Williams & Lutitia Claiborne, who came to VB Co. in 1860. and are related to most of VB/Cleburne and Faulkner counties. James apparently wasn't sheriff to long as he was in Delta Co. Tx. in Aug 1911, where my father was born. He came back to Ark in 1916, and settled in Faulkner Co.
