Charlotte, Does this book have all burials, or just the ones with tombstones? there is some controversy over where my Grandfather James Aden Chism is buried, I'm pretty sure he is in Quitman Methodist Cem, but some of the family say he is buried in Naylor Cem. he doesn't have a tombstone, and I've been unable to find a Obit for him stating where he was buried. He died in 1953. Would the Cem. book be any help with unmarked graves.? Did the Church's keep records of burials in their Cemeteries? The cemetery book has just the names of people with tombstones. It was done about 1993, so anyone buried after that date, or any tombstones placed after then will not be in the book. There are a few names mentioned with no dates (when someone knew that person was buried there but did not have a stone with the name/date).
