Jan. 17, 1913 STEELE'S CHAPEL Mrs. Ida Lay, of Canada, is visiting homefolk here this week. Pat Hamilton and wife and S. Talley and family have moved onto the ? H. Ward farm where they will crop the present year at least. Robert, Arthur and Gertie French are spending this week the guest of their sister, Mrs. B.D. Rhoades, on the Petit Jean mountain, Perry County. Ethel, the little daughter of J.R. and Mrs. French has been seriously ill for more than a week, but is reported somewhat improved at time of mailing this communication. The many friends of D.M. Following and illness of two weeks Mrs. Lackey passed away last Thursday evening. Remains were tenderly laid to rest at the Whipple graveyard the following day. She is survived by many friends and relatives who sincerely mourn her taking away.
