Jan. 31, 1913 "Grandma Driver" is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs. John Bost. Henry Simpson and wife are visiting relatives of the Gridley neighborhood. Theodore Hillis and wife, of Jerusalem, spent Friday to Sunday inclusive with the latter's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Price Stroud of this place. We are indeed pleased to note that Will Whitfield, mention of whose illness was made some weeks since, is improving and that hopes are now entertained that he will be restored to health, family and friends. J.M. Stroud has sold his farm to Willie McGuire, the consideration being $500. Mr. Stroud has purchased the "Uncle Fayette" branch farm for which he paid $200. The latter is preparing to move to Oklahoma where he will make his home. Married, Sunday, Jan. 26th, 1913, at the home of the bride's parents near Scotland, Miss Nora Deason, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.M. Deason, and Mr. Freyaldonhaven, of Morrilton, Rev. George W. Hatchett officiating. The bride is a sister of Mrs. J.S. McMahan, of Clinton and is well and most favorable known in this community, where she has frequently visited, as a most worthy and exemplary young lady of pleasing graces and charming personality. The groom is reputed a worthy and successful young farmer, honored and respected by those who know him. The Democrat joins with the many friends of the bride here and elsewhere in the county in wishing for her many days of happy wedded bliss.
