May 26, 1911 The sale of the personal property of the late L.M. Hardin last Saturday was well attended and all property brought good prices. Corn sold for 70 cents.Two milk cows brought $57, while a small sow and six pigs sold for $21. The only horse for sale brought $140. Chickens brought market prices and household and kitchen effects sold unexpectedly well. A gasoline engine, purchased last season to furnish power for a gin saw at a cost of about $600, sold for $300 and was bought by H.F. Hardin, a brother of deceased.
