My mom Ruth Potter Bradford didn't have a birth certificate. When she wanted to get her SS they accepted her proof since she was listed in Dr Hall's book. That would be a good selling book for the society if it could be transcribed. I don't know who has it now but probably a granddaughter. You can look on the site at the ones I transcribed from earlier years....all kinds of strange things pop up on them. If I don't have a list of LDS film available for VB Co somewhere on the site....I think I do....let me know. Just do a search for LDS on the VB Co site and see what turns up on there. Cool! Thank you! I will try to get down to the LDS stake (is that the right word?) in Coos Bay, Oregon. It's about four hours from here. I'm in final week at school right now, so it will be next week. Thanks Lynne! bj Van Buren Co Genweb wrote: The old court and probate records. There may an LDS genealogy library closer to you than four hours away. Look in the white pages of your phone book for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If there isn't a library phone number listed, phone one of the branch or ward phone numbers, and ask them where the closest genealogy library is located. Good luck!
