My mom Ruth Potter Bradford didn't have a birth certificate. When she wanted to get her SS they accepted her proof since she was listed in Dr Hall's book. That would be a good selling book for the society if it could be transcribed. I don't know who has it now but probably a granddaughter. There may an LDS genealogy library closer to you than four hours away. Look in the white pages of your phone book for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
