    2. Ken and Judy Jackson
    3. Thanks JoAnn, I remember now. It was a little difficult to read in my grandmother's old Bible. It looked like it said Shirley Cem in Clinton AR. But I was advised by the very nice, helpful people on my various AR lists that it was indeed Clinton Cem in Clinton, AR. Thank you. Judy

    1. [ARVANBUR] Jackson/Bradshaw names
    2. Ken and Judy Jackson
    3. Helen, The Jackson is my married name. His line has been researched and found which is amazing considering it's so common. And it to make it more difficult my husband's Dad's Father died when he was only 6 in a fall in a well. So he knew nothing much about his Jacksons. But a fabulous researcher had a website called "Gone to Texas" and as my husband was reading it as it was like a book, he found his grandfather's name with his first and middle name correctly, reversed!!! Talk about a miracle. So there's the Jackson part. This was in TN then on to Oklahoma. That is my husband's side. Mine is Curtis with this ggrandmother Bradshaw from Arkansas, her father James Logan Bradshaw born in NC, mother was Martha Jane Ryals from TN. Martha's father Billy Ryals, (b NC), had three wives, (not at one time!!) and 22 children. He married at 71 to a 29 year old lady and had his last children. Billy's first wife, Nancy Smith, was mine line. (one of about 8 separate Smiths in various lineages of mine. Judy

    2. Ken and Judy Jackson
    3. Hi, I couple of years ago I made this request so I'm a bit embarrassed to ask again. I requested anyone who was planning to go to the Shirley Cemetery, if they'd take a picture of my ggrandmother's tombstone, I would be so happy if they could send it over the internet or snail mail and of course I would reimburse them. Well several offered and they did send them but before I got them printed, my husband bought a new computer and didn't realize I hadn't had him make the copies. Long story short I lost something that was my fault that was precious to me. This great grandmother was one of my first "finds" as I started my genealogy research. She is from the big family of Ryals, Bradshaw and married a Richardson, the parents of my grandmother. If anyone is going there sometime and could take a picture, I'd appreciate it immensely. I believe she is in the Old area. Her name is on an upright tombstone, as Rutha Richardson Tracy b 10 Feb 1862 d 18 Feb 1917, and at the bottom it's says " Gone but not Forgotten". Thank you, pls email me directly. Judy

    3. I have a Jim Bradshaw that married a Mary Sanders, a sister to my husband's great grandmother. She was Cherokee Indian.Mary and Jim were in Oklahoma. Also we are having problems with the Jackson line. Abraham Jackson was born ca1805 supposedly in Virginia, but the first we really find him is in Mo/Ark. Then some of his family went on to Oklahoma. helen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken and Judy Jackson" <kenjudyj@bellsouth.net> To: <ARVANBUR@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 17, 2008 8:44 AM Subject: [ARVANBUR] Jackson/Bradshaw names > Helen, > The Jackson is my married name. 1. [ARVANBUR] New Gravestone Project
    2. Tootie Dennis
    3. Greetings Arkansas Researchers, I wouldlike to invite you to check out the Arkansas Gravestone Photo Project and participate in its growth as it will only grow with everyone's involvement. The Arkansasgravestones.org is a wonderful tool to preserve the headstones of your ancestors. With the advent of time and weather and vandalism, our headstones are disappearing at an alarming rate. We need to work on preserving a digital image of our family stones as a fitting tribute to our ancestors. This site is an easy-to-use site that exists to make this preservation possible. Additionally there is no cost to the contributor or to anyone wanting to view the photos, hard to find in this day and age where everything costs something. Plus this is a great way to have a backup for all those photos you presently have. There are no annoying ads flashing, moving or popping. Particularly valuable are those very old headstone photos that you have in grandma's photo album. Scan them into your computer and add them to the site as they may be the only testament to your ancestors life. Share them with the world. This is link for the Arkansasgravestones.org GPP Arkansasgravestones.org has just come on line. We are presently working to get it setup and we would invite you to check it out. Also, I am asking for your help, please add your photos to the site. Every county will have space. I am your Arkansas State coordinator and I am truly excited about being involved. If you need help in adding your pictures i will be glad to help....another great way to save a grave. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at tootied@suddenlink.net to respond to this message. Many of you know me for my SHARP research. Any one interested in hosting any of the counties i would like to hear from you. For you information there are 11 more states with the gravestones.org sites and more are being added. Thank you very much! 3. The Van Buren county probate records describe a road committee formed to oversee building a road leading from the widow Castleberrys toward Illinios Bayou from Aldin Spgs to the Pope County line. Illinois Bayou is in eastern Pope County (west of Van Buren Co), but I don't know where any of the other three things (the widow Castleberry's place, Aldin Springs, or the road itself) were or would have been today. Does anybody else know?
