I am trying to find a descendant or someone with a connection to, Ephriam Williams. He was born in Arkansas, about 1864, his father is said to be Riley Williams, this is passed on information. I need to be able to verify this information. Ephriam Williams is found on the following census of 1870, Arkansas: Samuel Riley age 32 b. TN Nicey " 30 b. TN Mary " 10 b. AR Jalina? " 6 b. AR Hugh " 4 b. AR Ephriam Williams age 6 b. AR Elvira Williams " 4 b. AR William M. Williams " 1 b. AR Ningen Riley " 1 b. AR Does anyone have a connection to the Riley family or know what the relationship is of the Williams children found listed with them on this census? The daughters of Riley Williams of Van Buren County, AR., were: #1 Elizabeth (aunt Betts) b. 17, Nov, 1864 in Van Buren Co., AR. d. 15, Aug, 1943 in Van Buren Co. She had one daughter (Josie G.), who married Richard J. Cassinger. They had one son, Doyce Cassinger. #2. Nancy Louisa (Lou) b. 10, Jan, 1868 in Van Buren Co., AR d. 24, Oct, 1952 in Van Buren Co., m. Robert Walter Hall 31, Dec 1885 in Van Buren Co. #3. Nicey Jane b. 22, April,1870 in Van Buren Co., d. 21, Jan, 1953 in Grady Co., OK buried in Gracemont cemetery., she married James Franklin Gardner 2 Jan,1887 in Van Buren Co. Nicey's daughter, Zona Ann Gardner, married the Charlie Watson. George Gardner was Zona's brother. There was also Sam and William Gardner. Ephriam Williams had a connection to Riley Williams, above, and would have been a half brother to the daughters of Riley Williams. I have a picture of Ephriam Williams , year unknown, possibly around 1915, in White Wright , Texas, Grayson County. Would like to find out if the other two Williams children on the 1870 Ar. census were siblings of Ephriam. Would like to make contact with any descendants of Ephriam Williams and learn what the relationship was to the Samuel and Nicey Riley family. Thanks for any information, no matter how small! Anyone with any connection to any of these people , please reply. Sandra
Is there anyone that can do a look-up for me in VanBuren Co ?
James "Jim" Boon(e) was listed on the 1890 tax list. Does anyone know when he died and where he is buried? He was the father of William Miles "Bill" Boone and James Thomas "Tom" Boone. They all lived in the Bee Branch-Morganton area.
Hi Yvonne, In the Van Buren Co. Marriage Book Indexes (1865-1991), there are no Carlocks listed in either brides or grooms. There is only one Edmonson: Lowell Edmonson who married Mae Trammell in 1935. (Book 15, page 117). Perhaps this helps with a branch of your family. I am looking for information on Andrew Jackson Leonard who migrated to Clinton, AR, ca 1855 with the Huie and Lovell families of TN. AJ married Catherine Celine Hunter, d/o Isaac Hunter, in 1858. Children: Sarah "Sally" (1859) who married William T. Davis; Julie Ann Tennessee (1861) who d/y; William Carroll (1863) who married Mattie Dunlap; Hugh Lucas (1866) who married Dora Bennett; Isaac Martin "Mart" (1869) who married Eliza Jane Lovell; Ruth (1871) who married Rev. Austin Edwards; Uriah Montford "Mont" (1874) who married Mary Jane Brown; Cora (b. 1877) who married Benjamin Maddox; Minnie (1879) who married Mont Williams; and Mary (1882) who married John Edwards. AJ seems to have been a prominent man in the community during his day. He served as Justice of Peace, County Surveyor, Special Deputy for the US Marshall's, and owned his own business, "Leonard & Bro.". By the time he passed away in 1906, most of his children had moved away from Clinton, with a few relocating in Leslie, Searcy Co. Allied families are the Huie, Lovell, and Jackson families. These all seem to be family connections from TN. If anyone has any information, I'd love to hear from you! Cathy Leonard
