I spoke with a descendant of this family who said that they had moved to El Dorado, Arkansas. Albert LAYMAN and Sarah Margaret COX, both born ca. 1876 in Indiana and lived in and near Dubois County. They married ca 1896 in Indiana and may have also lived in the Kokomo, Howard County area. By 1910 they were living in Bowie County, Texas, where Margaret's mother Elizabeth Jane MINOR COX COX had moved by 1900. (Elizabeth's first husband died, and she then married his brother.) They were still in Bowie County (Texarkana area) in 1920. They had the following children, which I have from the censuses: Elbert Fred Audra Esther Georgie M. Bessie or Betsy E. Jessie H. or Jack Annie B. or Annie Belle These children were born between 1896 and 1917 and are all to my knowledge deceased. Esther married Ira NIX; Bessie married a CLIFFORD and moved to Georgia. Albert and Sarah are supposed to have died in Union County. Thank you for any information and I hope to meet new researchers! --Amy
