AFRICAN-AMERICAN GENEALOGY WORKSHOP On Saturday, February 26, 2000, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies will co-sponsor a workshop on African-American family history. Also sponsoring is the Arkansas Chapter of the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society. The workshop will include presentations on a wide variety of topics, including: "Folk Say," a talk on African-American storytelling. "Beginner's Genealogy," a program on how to get started. "Characters of Color," a look at some unusual Afro-Arkansans. "The Importance of Knowing," which deals with African-American history. "Identifying Old Photos," an introduction to the history of photography. "Funeral Home Records," about "the last documentation of our lives!"
