In the 1860 census Lapile Twp.,there is a Douglas and Amanda B. Adams. 54/5Adams, Douglas, Miller 31 m Sc. Harrolson, Wm lab 23 m Sc, Adams, Amanda B. 24 f Ala. I don`t have the census between 1860-1900. I have a Robert Adams Family in the Waller-Taylor side. Paula, yes thank you it helps in a way more than you can imagine. I read the image for the 1860 at our local library which gave me the same information you just did. But someone transcribed this census and came up with the name Harrison instead of Harrolson and I like you totally came up with Harrolson. I don't know the birthdate or age of your Robert but I have several Robert Adams in my line too. Thanks for reaffirming what I found reading the image for the 1860 census of Union County.
