His son James Adams was married to Etta Farrar who's father was Robert Francis Farrar of Union Parish, La. Her mothers brother was Oliver P. Wood married to a Stripling. They lived in Union County about the same time. James Malcolm Smith and wife Jarusha Martindale in the late 1800's around 1900 in Union County and her parents were James Martindale and Caroline Roark. My grandparents were James Jasper "Jack" Phillips and Margaret Mae "Maggie" Roberts.
