    3. Here's what I know: (William) Henry Roberson + Elizabeth Ann (Minerva) Jones married 1847, he was 28 and she was 22 (original record in El Dorado Court House) Henry died in 1858 leaving his pregnant wife and 4 children, listed in probate records as follows: (original record in El Dorado Court House, includes appraisal of estate, auction & misc other documents) William James Roberson b. 1847 Sarah E. Perlina A. Alice V. Henri Ellen b. 1858 (after her father's death) The 1880 census shows that William had married and moved to Columbia Co. (He eventually had a large family and moved to OK. He became a baptist minister. He is buried in Darwin, OK.) Sarah E had married John P. Henry and was still living in Union County. I did not find Perlina A. on this census, but in 1887, she marries Robert Goza (Golsby/Gozey) in Union County. Alice V. was married to Charles F. Goode. Son Robert Goode, only a few months old, was in their household. They lived in the next household from her widowed mother and younger sister. Henri Ellen marries John Hiram Goode later that year. 3 of the girls were married in 1879 or 1880. The 1880 census shows that both Henry & Elizabeth migrated to Union County from AL. Elizabeth's parents are both listed as being from SC. In documents, Elizabeth Ann is listed variously as EAM, AE, Elizabeth Ann, Elizabeth Ann Minerva, but in verbal family stories was Minerva Jones. Family name is listed as Roberson/Robertson/Robinson. Other than the marriage record, other files I have found in the court house are filed in a folder under the name "Robinson". Consistently the name appears as Roberson when Henry signed (land records & marriage). Elizabeth signs with "her mark" so may not have been able to read. 11 years after Henry's death, she was still going to court attempting to settle the estate. There had been a number of administrators assigned to the estate on her behalf. She believed that Henry had served in the military and was entitled to a land grant for that service. She did not know where he served, the name of the commander or any of his commrades. (Draft of affadavit is in possession of Roberson cousins.) This family has long been a mystery to us and any new "breaks" would certainly be welcome. Although I have connected with desc from William James (my own line) I have never yet found any desc from any of his sisters. Thank you for any asstance or any new clues. I would certainly welcome some good news... Angelia
