Cassie, I think you are on to something. However, I am not related to Wm. P. Hearn. He married my gr grandmother, Mary Rebecca Joiner Hindman in 1883 in Pope County. I am trying to trace her and her son (my grandfather) James Robert Hindman. Both Mary Rebecca and James Robert were on the 1870 census in Lauderdale Co., Alabama. The marriage date is the next and only record I have of her. James Robert married my grandmother in 1898 and died in 1945. I found WM. P. Hearn on the 1860 census in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. I found some land records for him in both Alabama and Arkansas AT LEAST I THINK IT IS THE SAME Wm. P. Hearn. Keep me posted on any further information you find. Thanks much! Dorothy in CA DotsP.
