I am new to this list and am glad to find it. My ggf was Jabez Claiborne MASSEY, b. in Claiborne Parish, LA 1842, served in Civil War with Company G, 3rd Arkansas Infantry. He married Melvina PERRY 1869 and died 1892. According to Goodspeed, he served as Coroner in Union County and was also a teacher. I (and many others) have been unable to find his burial place. Does anyone know about him? I'm also interested in Melvina PERRY's family. I have seen her mother's first name spelled as either Turella or Ferrida. She was born in NC 1812 and died at New London 1872, I do not know her father's name. He was born in TN. Any info will be appreciated. Can anyone tell me where Louisa Watson COWSER is buried and the date she died? She was the first wife of James H. Cowser. We believe she died in 1851. At that time, the family was living in the Lisbon area. Thanks, Linda Jones
