Rose Mary, That was my father that you remember. :) He was the only surviving child of Sarah Ellen Ferguson and William Ben R. Mayfield. I have never really researched the Lankfords, although I would be extremely interested in anything on any of Ben Mayfield's wives (there were a number of them). He died before Dad married for the first time...I am by his first marriage, and so I never knew my grandfather Mayfield. If I come across anything on the Lankfords that might be of interest, I will remember you.
