The old Powhatan,Arkansas courthouse and State park,is closed for renovation,All records have been moved to the ASU Campus in Jonesboro,AR. There is a near riot there now,concerning what to do with the old records and where to store them when the park re opens. The courthouse in Walnut Ridge ,has many of the old records .previously stored at Powhatan. I have most of the published books from Lawrence County,if I can do a look up.I would be happy to.
