Jean Did your William Lafayette Wiles die before 1910? I find "Molissie" as a widow in the 1910 Sharp County Arkansas census living down the road (Ash Flat and Evening Shade Road) from some of my Ritchies. As you remember Martha Jane Ritchie married John Wiles in Tennessee. John was your William's great great uncle, right? Sorry, Marcia, I just caught this message today. I have two in my files, and would love to be able to merge them together, IF they are the same people. Wm. Lafayette WILES, b. 1859, d. 1949, m. Martha E. ROGERS on April 23, 1910. The Second Wm. Lafayette WILES, b. Nov 27, 1859, d. ?? , m. M. Caroline ENDSLEY. I have no other information on this couple. The birth dates would lead me to believe the men are the same person, and that he married twice, but I don't know! John was the brother to William A. (Alexander?) WILES. Wm's son, James Alexander WILES, had a daughter, Ruth Caroline WILES who was my dad's grandmother. I have a picture of her scanned, by the way, if you have any interest in seeing it. So, does that make John my 3rd gr uncle? I get lost when they get that far back! :) I have RICHEY connections through my JEFFERYS, as well. I presume that these folks are the same family, just differently spelled names? Your suspicion that M. Caroline and Mellisa C. may be the same person, probably is well founded.
