Hello Lew Roberts!!!! Your message is like a bolt out of the blue. I have been trying for years to find ANYTHING concerning my Grandma. The info you have sent on Margaret is correct up to a point. The census for Sharp Co. for 1900 lists Margaret , age 25, son Ransom, age 2, living with her brother John W. Roberts, wife Cora. Also states that Margaret is a widow. This is the question I have had for many years. Who is the father of my mother? Mollie was born in Citra Ok. March 2, 1904. She never questioned her mother about her father. She was known as Mollie Inez Gibson. Grandma came to California around 1914 or 1918 with her 2 children. They worked in the fields up and down the San Joaquin Valley. Ransom never married. He and Grandma always lived together and owned a small house in Armona where I was raised. Not in the house, but in Armona. Mollie, my mother, married Ray G Waite Dec 31, 1925. I was born Oct.29, 1933, an only child. I married Herbert E Schmidt, Dec. 5th, 1953. I have 5 children and 14 grand children. Am expecting the 1st great grand child in September. I would love any thing you have on the family. I have info back to Moses Roberts, but not any further back than him. Grandma was very closed and quiet about her family. What info I have came from others, not her.
