Hi, I am interested in researching my husband's family, the Gipson's. I am aware that there were some Gipson's that helped build the Bear Creek Church. My husband's grandfather, Henry Lee Gipson, was the only boy of eight children. The parents were Jonas Lafayette Gipson and Myrtle Lee Young. Myrtle was born in Pocahantus, AR. I have Jonas as having Daniel Gipson as his father and Nancy Walker, his mother. What has make this interesting is that my aunt, on my mother's side, Christine (Endsley) Haley, who lived in Ash Flat, has a grand mother named Martha America Gipson. Martha's father was named Daniel Gipson. I suspect that Martha and Jonas were first or second cousins, they were both born in the 1870's. Any help on this subject would be appreciated. Annmaree Gipson
