Dear List Members, Thank you all for your kind messages of sympathy, genealogists are just the best people! Joyce Hambleton Whitten [email protected]
Joyce, I have just been working on my Whitten line that is from Spartanburg, SC, and noticed your message. Are you researching the Whitten line? My ggrandmother was Mary Ann Cornelia Whitten, born in Spartanburg, SC in 1855, married George Boggs Chamblin and about 1890 came to Polk Co, AR. I believe her father was Redford Pinckney Whitten born abt 1833 in Pickens Co, SC. Anything familiar?
