Hello Connie, I can tell you when I went searching for a probate record that would have been in Sharp County in 1878, I called the Sharp County Library and they told me that they have no records there like that. She told me they don't have anything in the way of genealogy except maybe some family books. The courthouse has records from 1890 forward. The courthouse burned in 1890; she (the librarian) directed me to Walnut Ridge saying maybe I could find what I needed in Lawrence County? What I did was go on the LDS site and see what microfilm they have for Sharp County, AR., and got a few records that way.
