My line involves Nancy Ann Allen in the 1870 census. They came from Texas Co. Mo. and went back to be there in 1880 census. Can anyone tell me why two women with 2 children would make that trip? Is there something that happened there in the late 1860s to cause that? Any books I could read on Arkansas history to help me? Nancy married John Thomas Watson in Texas Co. in 1884.
