I also found in Family search.Org James Abraham Petty born May 03, 1844 married to Mary Elizabeth Loudder. Lydia V Petty had a sister named Francis M I wonder if Joseph Lewis married Lydia's sister after she died. I have been unable to find when or where Lydia died or when Joseph Lewis remarried. The 1880 census of Lewis and Francis M Metcalf list the same children as Joseph Lewis and Lydia in the 1870 census except for the younger ones born after 1870.
