Very good lesson, Billie -- one I've never seen anything about in RootsWeb's guidelines. I learned that one the same way the first time I replied to a message board message through the Izard list. One point though, it was Eva Royal who posted the original query to the message board, and I ("marrdye@sbc...", not someone named "Mary Dye,") answered her on the board. She replied to me privately, and we went from there. But you're right. Mary Fox's message didn't make it to the board. Thanks for the reminder!
