Hi Beth and all Thank you so much, Beth for this. I am sending it out to the lists also. Hope you don't mind. It has just been so many years of chasing and so many friends, family and others working to find Grandma Sophronia's family. This sure looks like it could be her. We have had Davenport Glover WISEMAN and Matilda in our tree for a long time. But no kids. This is the first time that it looks like it could be right. Judy the better half has said for a long time that she felt that Sophronia was the kid of Davenport and Matilda. Now you have got us something to point that way. Been right under our nose all this time with them being right near Wiley King House Hold Beth did they have ages for Matilda and James B. Hall when they got married? Thank you bunches Jim and Judy MONTGOMERY JIM M. Look what we just got from Beth It sure looks like this could be Grandma Sophronia. With her being next door to Wiley King house hold in 1860 that would give a reason for her to be in house hold of Wiley King family in 1870 This makes for some more ???? With Matilda in the house hold of William Gregory family in 1870 census, what happened to James B. Hall and kids Martha F. age 3 and John A. age 4 months. Was Sarah E. age 10 in 1860 census a Hall from a marriage befor Matilda by her not being in the 1850 Census with Matilda and Davenport Wiseman. The census has her born in Tennessee and Safrona born in Arkansas. -------------- Original message -------------- From: Bpca4u@aol.com Jim & Judy, Hi! I know that you all have searched for this lady for a long time and with not a whole lot of success about determining who her parents were. I do realize just how frustrating that is! I wanted to share some things that I stumbled on when I was looking for some of my Moores---didn't find them but I may have found something that will interest you. I had tucked away this earlier information when you all had posted where you found her in 1870 U.S. Fed Census AR, Fulton Co., Pleasant Ridge Twp Ln 1 Post Office: Franklin 1/7 KING, Wiley 49 <1821> mw Fmr 1000/800 Ala " , Mary 50 <1870> fw HsKp Ala " ,Samuel 22<1848> mw FmLbr Ala " ,Albert 20 <1850> mw Ark " ,Alfred 15 <1855> mw Ark " ,Wiley C. 13 <1858> mw Ark WISEMAN, Sophronia 20 <1850> fw Ark 1860 U.S. Fed Census AR, Fulton Co., twp Post Office: Eagle 11 jan 1860 byJohn Simpson Ln 30 140/6 (index has Ring) Wiley KING 39 <1820>m Fmr 2000/1000 Ala Meriah 40 <1820>f Ala William 16 <1843>m FmLbr Ark James 14 <1845> m Ala Samuel 12 <1847> m Ala ?Meroda 9 <1850>?m Ark Rebecca 8 <1851> f Ark Alfred 6 <1853> m Ark Wiley 3 <1856> m Ark Next HsHold HUBBLE, John & Margaret w/JACKSON, Henry 20 AR 1850 U.S. Fed Census AR, Fulton Co., Twp Union Ln 6 48/48 Devenport WISEMAN 25 <1825> m Fmr 200 TN Matilda A. 26 <1824> f Ala 1850 U.S. Fed Census AR, Fulton Co., Twp Union 58/58 Alexes JACKSON Ala & Mary Tn Ln 25 59/59 Wiley KING 29 <1821> m Fmr 200 Ala Maria Ann KING 30 <1820> f Ala Mary 10 <1840> f MO William 7 <1843> m Ark James 5 <1845> m Ala Lemuel 3 <1847> m Ala Now. where this gets interesting (all speculation at this point, but bear with me!) Hope it turns out to be something useful. Some other things I found----there seems to be some connections between KING, JACKSON, WISEMAN with HOPKINS and HERRON both in Fulton Co., AR and in Pike Co.,AL (now, I don't know where else they may have been in AL but this is a start) Hope this might help.
