Barbara, Thank You! My grandmother, Sarah Edna Carter, was raised in the area of Evening Shade and Ash Flat. Her father, James Dallas Carter, was from that area. I have found very little about him or his family except from the Ash Flat history book that came out about 2 years ago. It had one very short reference to him. I was hoping this Sarah Howard Carter had married into that family.
