Emma was the daughter of my gg grandfather Mitch Hackney by his first marriage to Caroline Evans. Emma was 9 months old in the 1880 census so she must have been born in 1879. Emma's mother had died and she was living with an aunt and uncle in that census. The 1900 census was taken before the marriage of Emma and Wesley and we find him living as a boarder in Calvin D.
