This is an excellent link for Arkansas Cemeteries. Probably the best I've found. There is a small cemetery on the highway from Hardy to Ravenden. About a couple miles on the left hand side of the highway. It has a small fence around it and only 3 tombstones in it. All are Jacksons. Could this be the one you are referring to? Robert, Thanks for the information. The Jackson Cemetery that James Monroe Jackson and Elmer Jackson are in i thought was just north of Center near liberty Hill, but I am not sure, I do know that their graves are unmarked so that makes it that much harder to find. Anymore thoughts out there? Sincerely, Mark Jackson ROBERT NICHOLSON <robertnicholson1@cox.net> wrote: Mark, There is no Township 26N. Perhaps someone has knowledge of the JOHN WALKER family. The court house records burned which does not help the research. John Walker of Cave Twp was reported murdered by a Rodgers man in the Sharp County Record Newspaper July 1881? Was he the same John Walker that married H. E. Murphey April 1880. They were both from Jackson Township. He was 23 and she was 17. Is he the same John Walker as the following census record of 1880. I believe she was listed as both married and widowed. 1880 Sharp Co, Jackson Twp John WALKER M Male W 23 AR Farmer TN AK Ellen WALKER Wife M Female W 16 MS Keeping House MS MS Thomas WALKER Brother S Male W 21 AR Farm Laborer TN AR William WALKER Brother S Male W 18 AR Farm Laborer TN AR Mary WALKER Sister S Female W 15 AR At Home TN AR ROBINSON Other Male W 27 AR Farm Laborer IL IL Is this the same or a different John Walker? February Term Sharp County Probate Court A. D. 1884 lists an H.Z. Hawkins Assignee of Mary Dickey, formerly Mary Walker, widow of John Walker against James P. Thanks. THAT is a lot of information to sift through. What I'm working on is the Native American direction. I found my grandmother. Mary E. Rose Mary, That was my father that you remember. :) He was the only surviving child of Sarah Ellen Ferguson and William Ben R. Mayfield. I have never really researched the Lankfords, although I would be extremely interested in anything on any of Ben Mayfield's wives (there were a number of them). He died before Dad married for the first time...I am by his first marriage, and so I never knew my grandfather Mayfield. If I come across anything on the Lankfords that might be of interest, I will remember you. My gggrandfather, Samuel Buck Gunter, married Emiline Johnson 10/7/1880 in Sharp Co. I have a copy of the marriage license. I have been trying to locate the parents of Emiline.
