    2. Peggy Chamblin
    3. I recently found an ancestor died in 1909 in the State Asylum. I took a chance and ordered the death certificate thinking that a State agency may have filed the death, even before 1914. We got the death certificate yesterday. I thought the chances were less than 50-50, but at $10 it was worth it. Peggy

    2. Robin Hoff Kaspar
    3. I need the help of a Sharp County expert. According to the Marvin Cemetery online listing, there are burials for Allen and May Smith who we believe to be our relatives. They died in 1955 and 1957 respectively. I don't know where the Smiths lived exactly (they were in Strawberry Township from 1900-1930 so I'm guessing they were probably still there in the 50s). What funeral home(s) should we check with? I'm not seeing any listings in Poughkeepsie... Robin

    3. I have the Prior Birth Records CD, and will do look ups. These were births before 1914 that had not been registered .Beginning in 1942 more than 300,000 such births were registered. This CD has the ones that applied for prior certificates in 1942 & 1943, and that is 103,000. The Arkansas Genealogical Society and volunteers will continue indexing until the project is complete. Send me the name, mother's maiden name if known, and county if known. I have found that the only relatives of mine who show up are the ones that had to obtain birth certificates to work in places during WWII. 3. Dear Loretta, How exciting to finally come in contact with someone who is researching my relatives. I am the great grandaughter of John Sanders and Margaret Elliott Sanders. I believe that she is buried in Boles cemetery near Evening Shade. GGrandpa John has a neat tombstone and there is a rock at the grave beside him that I believe is Margaret. I am glad to be able to tell you that this cemetery has been saved in the last 2 years. It was in the middle of a field and had been abandoned. Some descendents of some one buried there showed some interest in it and inspired a wonderful lady in Izard Co. to help clean it up and fence it. Now the important thing is who are you? I am familiar with the Henson name and the Dale name in our Sanders genealogy. I have quite a bit on the older Sanders and older Elliott line. Please reply if you are interested.
