Not only did the cast of Evening Shade help out there, they also helped raise money for a new gymnasium. I don't think that Evening Shade and LaCrosse were all that close together. Evening Shade is between Ash Flat and Cave City. LaCrosse was more towards Melbourne. Reverend John M. Hill died in Sharp Co. on January 31, 1849. Does anyone know where I might find his obituary? I have the obituary for his wife, Louisa Virginia Brown Hill who died in 1880. They are buried in the cemetery at Nelsonville. I am also searching for info on Dr. Dixon Brown, Louisa's father, who died sometime after 1870.
