    3. Norma, Don't worry about asking 'dumb' questions.. there are no dumb questions. We all had to learn sometime.. If you go to: http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/AR/Sharp/ go down where it says 'GenConnect at Rootsweb" and click on the box that says QUERIES. That's the Sharp County board.. It's a place where you can put out queries on your surnames, and people will respond and you're bound to find new cousins as well as new information on your families.. My problem with this type of board (and it's just been overhauled, so I'm sure it still has bugs!), is that it will not allow me to POST after I've typed out my message and done all I'm suppose to do.. Others have not had any problems.. but there are still others that are having problems, like me.. But, that, my dear, is a board... don't be frightened of it, and don't be afraid to ask for more help. We all learned at one time or another, and we are patient with all beginners... There are no dumb questions, and I for one appreciate the reminder that there are still some beginners on the list.. Hang in there, you'll get it!! Lanita Sconce Miller Wichita

    3. If they settled in Pougkeepsie, it would be Lawrence County. Like I said, though, Poughkeepsie is not far from the Sharp County line, so it all depends on where exactly they lived. 3. Poughkeepsie was (and is) close to Smithville and Strawberry in Lawrence County, just over the Sharp/Lawrence County line. -----Original Message----- From: Marjie <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Sunday, June 24, 2001 1:35 PM Subject: [ARSHARP] Poughkeepsie >Can anyone tell me where in Arkansas is Poughkeepsie around 1893-1900?
