I have checked the Independence, Lawarence, Izard, and Sharp County Cem. books find no Azariah Morgan or Ada Morgan. Find no Sitka Cemetery. Myrvin G. Harris
If anyone is able to do a cemetery lookup for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to locate the grave of Azariah Morgan, son of William and Mary Morgan. He was born in 1875. I do not have a date of death but estimate it to be between 1925 and 1950 (closer to the mid 30's maybe). I found a note I took 10 years ago that said he is possibly buried in the Sitka Cemetery. I am also looking for the grave of his wife, Ada Chism Morgan, Daughter of Green and Martha Chism. She died April or May of 1915. Thanks, Tim Fooks Irving, TX FOOKS, MORGAN, CHISM, DOTSON, GATES
My Shirley line starts with Casel Shirley. Casel Norman born in 1875 and then took on the name of Shirley right before he married Jenetta Ring in 1896. So my Shirley line starts there. Hi Kathleen: I can't seem to get into this web site. Marian Wood Hilton
My grandmother's name was Mary Elizabeth Hulett Waite. Her father was Morton Hulett, born around the1820's, married to Lucy Green, daughter of William Green and Lucy Hayden. I have much info on the Greens, but Morton Hulett is the last Hulett I have info on. The Hulett I have is William Henry (Hance) Hulett who married Almeda Francis Bland. William parents were "Desperado" Hulett and Lucy Ann Reed. I have some more information on 'Desperado" Hulett but right now cannot put my hand on it. William and Almeda had alot of children. Give me your grandmother's name and I will see if it is in my computer. Myrvin
in my tour of the black cemetery i ran across a gravestone marked: frank chun b.2/4/1860 d.6/13/1937 black cemetery sharp county as well as a Margaret chun b. 2/21/1853 d. feb 1915 "Lord please make me the kind of person my dog thinks I am." KISMIF (Keep it simple, make it fun!)
Do you know any of the back ground of the Hulett family that you referred to? My grandmother was a Hulett, but I don't know if any of them were in Arkansas. I want to thank each of you for the information you sent me on Montray Norris. This will help me to go further. Michele the Thomas Norris father if I am not mistaken is Nicholas Norris son by his first wife. Thomas Norris did marry a Mary Thompkins. Ginny no the Norris I am researching is on Mother side of the family not Dad's side of the family. My ggreatmother was Mary Norris Finley who married James Meacham. Mary's mother was a Norris. These Norris came from Maryland to Ga. then to Ark. Of course Tennessee Ring husband could also be related to my Mother's Norris. Myrvin
Myrvin, Norris on my Mother's side of the family. Are you speaking of Tennessee Ring, whose daughter married into the Norris Family? Sorry about not finding Montray...didn`t check John Noris listing. Ginny
Just in case we connect - I am working on the BIGGS family in Sharp County who married into the NORRIS family. Francis Marion BIGGS married Sarah Dona Norris in 1894 and Sarah BIGGS (F.M.'s sister) married William NORRIS. Both these NORRIS" were children of Thomas and Mary Thompkins NORRIS.
