    3. Hi! Thanks very much for the additional info! I don't suppose I'd be so lucky as to be able to tell who the parents are from the original marriage certificate would I? For that matter, would the original marriage application/certificate be available through the courthouse - do they have records going back that far? Or is what you sent as good as it gets (not that it's not good :-) I really appreciate the additional detail - especially the ages.) Thanks again! 1. [ARSHARP] KILLMAN/KILMAN, SHAW & LAWSON families
    2. Mary Henderson
    3. Hi! I'm searching for info on the James D. KILLMAN household that was in Izard Co. in 1900, Independence Co. in 1910 and Sharp Co. in 1920. Death: The key piece of info that I'd like to find is any death info for James D. KILLMAN b. 1851 KY - it looks like he is in Independence Co in 1910, but not in the AR census at all in 1920, leading me to believe that he died between 1910 and 1920, probably in Independence Co. or Sharp Co. Also, it looks like Clara L. KILLMAN died between 1900 and 1910, probably in Izard Co. or Independence Co. And in 1910, Jane Ann LAWSON has joined the household as a widow. I'd love to find the death certificate for her husband, who probably passed away between 1900 and 1910, but I don't have a first name or even know that he died in AR. Also, Jane may also have died between 1910 and 1920. Does anyone have any cemetery records, death records or probate records for those counties that would be willing to look for James D. KILLMAN, Clara L. KILLMAN, Mr. LAWSON and Jane Ann LAWSON? Marriage: Also, it looks like Dora Ethel KILLMAN married Charles C. SHAW about Oct./Nov. 1909 probably in Independence Co., but possibly Sharp or Izard Co. Anyone have access to marriage record for those counties that would be willing to look for that? Here's the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census info I have for the household: 1900, AR, Izard Co, Franklin Township, SD 2, ED 161, Sheet 5, page 304a, line 15, 74/74: KILLMAN, James D, head, w, m, Oct 1851, 48, m, 16, KY, KY, KY, farmer, R, F, 72; Drucilla C, wife, w, f, Jun 1860, 39, m, 16, 6, 4, MO, MO, AL; Clara L, dau, w, f, Feb 1888, 12, AR; Dora E, dau, w, f, Sep 1890, 9, AR; Maud A, dau, w, f, Mar 1883, 7, AR; David E, son, w, m, Aug 1895, 4, AR. 1910 Independence Co., AR, Barren Twp., ED 25, sh. 1b, 16-18 April 1910: 12/12 James D. Only land sold from the government is on this website. happy hunting. Marcia

    2. Audrey I looked on the Bureau of Land Management site for William Corbit. Did not find him but I did find a Thomas Corbit who bought land from the govt in Lawrence County in 1859 and a James Corbit who bought land from the govt in Fulton County in 1907. William would not have shown up on this site if he purchased the land from an individual rather than from the govt. M.

    3. Dear List Members, I was sent this site by a fellow researcher "Index to the Guion Miller Roll" http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/guionmiller/index.htm I found it very interesting - and thought I would pass it on to you. Now for the other items. This message is being sent out to all of my list, some which only have 3 members and some with almost 1000. If you are one of my smaller lists and feel that you only hear from me, why don't you take this opportunity to send a query to the list. If you need help from me, please put something in the subject line to alert me that the message is a request for help. When I am at work during the day I use http://www.mail2web.com from my office computer to keep an eye on my lists. I can only read the subject line from there and unless I open each and every message which most times are in the hundreds by 10 am in the morning. This is two time consuming while at work. So, to repeat, if you need my help, please place something in the subject line so that I will know your request needs attention quickly. One more item, It is time or about time when most children are heading back to school and many Moms and or Dads who are staying home now have additional time to work on their genealogy. If we begin to get messages across the lists that do not conform to the guidelines we have for our list, please just let them pass. Remember I am behind the scenes taking care of these problems, helping members subscribe and unsubscribe and reminding members of the guidelines of the list. The only time I send out corrections to the entire list is when the entire list is involved or when one of our members is being attached on the list - I then come to the defense in the same place the attack took place -- On the list. Enjoy the site - Thank you for your continued support. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    2. If you know what cemetery they are buried at, they would have the information on file. Also, the funeral home should have the information of where they are buried, and other pertinent information you may be needing. Or go to the county mailing list and put a query there to see if someone would check for you. Barb
