How sweet to talk with you. How wonderful to meet another SHARP cousin. Just in case: Ira Sharp Dennis 1015 S. Fannin Street Amarillo, Texas 79102-1423 We are 4th cousins. Tootie (Ira Sharp Dennis)
dear tootie i am the daughter of anna lou orr gibson. she grew up in ash flat, daughter of gus and ellen orr. this is her computer and i signed her up for the sharp county mailing list. she has really enjoyed reading many of the postings and was particularly interested in your postings about the sharps. she is descended from the william sharps. she has done extensive research over the past forty years though she doesn't do it any anymore. that is one reason i got her this computer. hoping she would be able to connect with folks like you. but she is eighty years old and taking care of my very ill father and just hasn't been able to take the time to learn how to use it very much. she gets frustrated trying to return emails sometimes and rarely gets it completed so she ask if i would write you and ask for your phone number. she would really love to talk with you. i think you might both have interesting info to share with each other. and it would do her some good to. since my father is homebound, she basically is too. though she has hospice helping her and giving her some time out now and then. anyway, that may be way more info than you want but that's it. thanks for your time. we look forward to hearing from you. sincerely sarah gibson-eight generations removed from william sharp
Thanks, Myrvin. I didn't get it recorded, if you did. I will have to go through old messages. I am trying to verify where this family are buried, and make a possible connection between the Ferguson widow who married the Shanks and lived near Cave City. Hi Marian, Was it someone other than me? :) Mine was John D. FERGUSON, and you said you had found a listing for a John "B" FERGUSON, and my last question to was whether the cemetery that you found him in was Highlands? Thanks. Kathleen, I just tried the link you gave in your email. I can access Ancestry.com but the census records are still not available. Hope this changes soon. Did your email from them say what the problem was? Please send your comments regarding Ancestry to ME Personally - Not to the entire list. We are loosing members because of this and one of them just might have held the clue to tearing down your genealogical brick wall. I know you have things to say both Positive and Negative. That is fine - just send them to me......not the the entire list. [email protected] I appreciate each of you so very much and know that your comments are meant to help, but I am in just a little crisis here with all the extra postings and I am spending hours calming down some of our members behind the scenes. Thank you for your help. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

Ancestry expects it will be another day maybe two before the corrected information is globally propagated. You can connect use http://216.10.103.21/ to connect to ancestry.com Thank you for your patience during this crisis." PLEASE do not post to the list if it does not work and PLEASE do not post to the list that Ancestry is down. If you have a concern or a question you can contact me personally [email protected] - but I am not even sure I can answer it, but will try. :) I appreciate each and every one of you who are helping me keep our list confined to postings regarding the topic of our list. Hi! I don't suppose anyone would know of any "oldtimers" in the area that might remember this SHAW family? The son, Willie H. SHAW would be about 81 years old now, and James W.
