Jack -------------------------------- Sabra Ray (Died June 15, 2008) Sabra Florence Ray, 99, of Lavaca died Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Charleston. She was born Oct. 24, 1908, in Sebastian County to the late Jim Cross and Mary Cason Cross. She was a homemaker and a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, U.R. (Boots) Ray; one son, Bob Ray; and one daughter, Mary Alice Carter. Officiating the service will the Rev. Curtis Smithson. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with burial at Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca. She is survived by one son, Jim Ray of Lavaca; one sister, Anna Bo Flake of Fresno, CA; ten grandchildren, Mike, Craig, Jeff, Greg, Brad, Francene, Bobbie, Karen, Donna and Libby; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike, Jeff, Greg and Brad Ray, Craig Carter and Woody Green. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
