I am new to this list because I finally found ... after looking for 6 years ... the marriage record for my ggrandparents: William Bell DAVIDSON & Mary Catherine FREED. They were married in Sebastian County on October 31, 1889, and their first and only son Ben Freed DAVIDSON was born in Ratcliff/Caulksville, Logan County, AR, January 1891. William was a registered Pharmacist in AR and finally settled in Tamaha, I.T., in about 1893. His advertisement in The Tamaha Banner said he was the 'only registered pharmacist in this section.' Don't know what 'section' that was! For what it's worth, he was a founding member of his Masonic Lodge #8 in Tamaha; so, I think, perhaps, that he might have been an active member in a lodge in AR. I am interested in finding out about any Masonic Lodge connections he might have had in AR and how he got to be a pharmacist ... whether by apprenticeship or college. Does anyone know if the State of Arkansas has any type of records on pharmacists that I might be able to research? I would also like to know if he is listed in the 1890 census for Arkansas (the 1880 census was the one that burned, correct?). Any help on where to look for these two would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Barbara DAVIDSON Norkus "looking for that needle in a haystack ..."
