Ivy Roberts RUDY - Ivy Jane Roberts, 83, of Rudy died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, a member of the Pentecostal faith and the granddaughter of John H. Hobbs, who founded Rural Electric Association. She was the widow of Norman Roberts. She is survived by five daughters, Lyla Moore of Coal Hill, Ellen Reddig and Sherry Foster, both of Rudy, Fern Goldsborough of Alma and Mary Czarnikow of Muldrow; three sons, Chester, Cleo and Cecil Arlen Roberts, all of Rudy; a sister, Joyce Price of Van Buren; two brothers, Virgil Pixley of Portland, Ore., and the Rev. Truman Pixley of Rudy; and 33 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Denny, 74, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in his home. He was a 30-year Army retiree and a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. Stanley Wessel Stanley Joseph Wessel, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in a Fort Smith nursing home. He was a rolling mill operator for U.S. Steel and a member of the River Valley Golf Association and AF&L Steel Workers Union. His body was donated to medical science. Sophia Bryan ROLAND - Sophia "Granny" Bryan, 93, of Roland died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in Fort Smith.
