HEAVENER — Joseph Lee Holmes, 55, of Heavener died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in his home. He was a seven-year resident of Heavener and former resident of Cullman, Ala., and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Bates.Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Big Creek Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Dean Brown Holmes; three daughters, Kimberley Howell of Cullman, Ala., Dorothy Couch and Joquetta Bryan, both of Heavener; three sons, Jody Holmes of Cullman, Patrick Forbes of Mount Pleasant, Tenn., and Joseph Holmes of Checotah, Okla.; his parents, Roy and Cora Lee Holmes of Cullman; one sister, Pearline Fay Eargle of Vinemont, Ala.; one brother, Herbert Holmes of Cullman; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. STIGLER — Virginia Lee Bramlett, 81, of Stigler died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in a Dallas hospital. She was a school teacher at Kinta High School for several years, was a member of the Extension Club, the American Legion Auxillary, Stigler Church of Christ and was a board member of the library association. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel in Stigler with burial at Garland Cemetery in Stigler. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Moseley of Mesquite, Texas; two sons, Jeff of Kirkwood, Mo., and David of Dallas; two sisters, Jeanette Gardner of Oklahoma City and Maxine Davilla of Moore, Okla.; two brothers, Lloyd Gorrell of Midwest City, Okla., and Howard Gorrell of Okmulgee, Okla.; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer and Gregg Moseley of Mesquite, Laura and William Minter of Guthrie, Okla., William, Emily and Andrew Beau Bramlett, all of Kirkwood, and Sara Bramlett of Antioch, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren. SPIRO — Beulah Stogsdill, 90, of Spiro died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Arkoma. She was a member of the Panama Freewill Baptist Church. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
