I feel a little helpless here in CA so thought I would do my bit in spreading the word. If any of you have experience in tackling this type of chore - she could use your advice. I suggested contacting the Crawford GenSoc plus the Boy and Girl Scouts who could always use project ideas. There were tire tracks through the cemetery and in the path was a headstone handcarved and unmarked that was lying there and had been run over! The grass is very deep and some of the graves are covered with under growth and overgrowth. There are many family plots which are fenced off but are covered with undergrowth. There is no one apparently caring for the grounds and in only a few years, this cemetery will be abandoned! I am trying to get together a committee to help clean this cemetery up. We need volunteerss and some lawnmowers and weedeaters. Can you please help me to get this problem taken care of. I don't know the first thing about this kind of project but my husband and I are not afraid of work and we have a mower and weedeater but 5 acres are too much for just the two of us to do alone. Please contact me if you can help or know of anyone who might be willing to assist us. We are willing to do this now or wait until it is cooler but it MUST be done.
