Zora A. Willmon, 83, of Carlsbad, N.M., died Sunday, July 23, 2000. She was born July 15, 1917, in McCurtain, to Ray and Serena (Bland) Fox. She was a homemaker and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Carlsbad. She was formerly a member at the First Assembly of God Church in McCurtain, and was active in the WMC at both churches. She moved to Carlsbad in 1958 from McCurtain. She married Burnett "Jingles" Willmon on July 30, 1938, in McCurtain. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters and one grandson. She is survived by her husband, Burnett of the home; her son, Benny Don and his wife, Mary Kay (McLemore) Willmon of Carlsbad; two daughters, Sue McMahan of McAlester and Kay Willmon of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Earldean Oliver of McCurtain, Dee Phillips of Bokoshe, and Myrtle Nance of Amarillo, Texas; two grandsons, two granddaughters, five great-grandsons and one great-great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27 at the First Assembly of God Church in McCurtain, with burial following at Miners Cemetery in McCurtain. The Rev. James Dill will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
