He married HATTIE BROWN daughter of UNKNOWNBROWN He is reputed to have been the Town Constable for Barling, Arkansas in the early 1900's, (according to my 99 year old grandfather) WILLIAM TAYLOR and HATTIE BROWN'S children are: i. JOHN WILLIIAM TAYLOR. THOMAS WESLEY TAYLOR was born February 16, 1883, and died November 24, 1963 in Sacramento, California. He married ETTAWA CARROLL. She was born Septe! mber 6, 1884, and died February 16, 1964 in Fresno, California. He lived in the Barling, Charleston, Ft. Smith area until the 1930's. He later moved to Alba, Missouri. The Social Security Application Thomas filled out June 14, 1937 lists him as Tom Wesley Taylor of Alba Mo., present employer: W.P.A., which stands for Work Progress Administration, a depression era 'New Deal" employment program. There is a number under that 0f 165-55-1644. It lists the present work location as Duvall Township, Jasper County, Mo. Age at time of application: 54, Date of Birth: February 16, 1883 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Father William Wesley Taylor. Mother, Hattie Brown. Male, white, registered with the U.S.Employment Service, registration card number 2949-299.Thomas was also supposed to have been a Deputy Sheriff in Arkansas, (I have the badge).
