    2. Joseph Lee Holmes, 55, of Heavener, died Saturday, July 22, 2000. He was a resident of Heavener for the past seven years and a former resident of Cullman, Ala. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Bates, Ark. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Dean Brown Holmes; three daughters, Kimberley Howell of Cullman., Dorothy Couch and Joquetta Bryan, both of Heavener; three sons, Jody Holmes of Cullman, Patrick Forbes of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., and Joseph Holmes of Chectoah; his parents, Roy and Cora Lee Holmes of Cullman, Ala.; one sister, Pearline Fay Eargle of Vinement; one brother, Herbert Holmes of Cullman; one niece, Patty Brown; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Big Creek Cemetery in Heavener. Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. Harrell Eugene Meeh, 71, of Heavener, died Sunday, July 23. He was a life long resident of Heavener, member of the First Baptist Church. He was a pharmacist, owning and operating the T&M Pharmacy in Heavener, a member of the chamber of commerce, Lions Club, former school board member and he was presented the Citizen of the Year award. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy. He was preceded in death by his father, George Meeh. He is survived by his wife,Wanda; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Karen Meeh of Fort Smith, Stewart and Leslie Meeh of Tulsa, and Kevin and Michelle Washington of Heavener; his mother, Willa Meeh of Heavener; his sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ray Barker of Heavener; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the First Baptist Church of Heavener, with burial following at Memorial Park, Heavener. Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. Flora Mae Boyd Gardner, 71, of Spiro, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was born Feb. 27, 1929, at Spiro, to Hugh Wesley and Beulah Marie Smith. She was a cook. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Boyd; her baby sister, Sharah Elizabeth; and four brothers, John, Henry, Joe Thomas, and Billy. She was well known for her cooking. She is survived by her four sisters, Evelyn Jones of Muldrow, Retha Hendrix of Stigler, Rosie Rogers and Mary Sue Bourne, both of Spiro. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25 at the New Hope Cemetery, Spiro. Arrangements are under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home, Spiro. Beulah Stogsdill, 90, of Spiro, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Arkoma. She was born July 1, 1910, in Cowlington to Reuben and Nancy Floyd Lovell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Stogsdill was a member of the Panama Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sisters. Beulah loved to make dolls and crochet. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25 at New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, with the Rev. David Nolan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
