He was an oil field worker for Rough Neck Oil Co., an Army veteran of the Korean War and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He is survived by one daughter, Sandra Jean Hobbs of Santa Paula, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Margaret Sykes of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one son, Richard Wayne Hobbs of Booneville; one stepson, Rick Sykes of Booneville; five sisters, Ola Stockton of Charleston, Nola Watson of Lavaca, Pauline Hale of Ozark, Jean Hill and Pearlee Broughton, both of Filmore, Calif.; two half-sisters, Louise Robertson and Betty Hobbs; one brother, Billy Ray Hobbs of Riverdale; and one half-brother, Buddy Robertson of Oklahoma City. Viewing will be 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Darla Lindley Darla Lindley, 53, of Fort Smith died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a resident aid for Superior Health Care.Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Angie Cox of Fort Smith; one son, Thomas Lindley of Fort Smith; one sister, Chris Kidder of Van Buren; two nieces, Deana Maxwell and Chelsie Kidder, both of Van Buren; and one grandchild. Nancy Jarvis Zabala ALMA - Nancy Ann Amanda Jarvis Zabala, 83, of Alma died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in her home. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was the widow of William E. Zabala.Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Love Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Crawford of Alma; one stepdaughter, Teresa Zabala of California; two sons, Donald Berry of Van Buren and Fred Berry of Tigard, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Conception Arthur WICKES - Conception "Connie" Sabala Arthur, 60, of Wickes died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000. She was an employee of Tyson in Grannis, an Army veteran, of the Baptist faith and attended Wickes Church of the Nazarene.Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wickes Church of the Nazarene with burial at Westview Cemetery in Cove under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. She is survived by her husband, Jack Edward Arthur Sr.; two sons, John Griffin of Wickes and James Arthur of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Cindy Caudill of Oklahoma City, Evelyn McCormick of Wickes and Lorraine Arthur of DeQueen; her mother, Juanita Sabala of Tulsa; three brothers, Teto Sabala of Heavener and Ferman Sabala and Santo Sabala, both of Tulsa; three sisters, Juanit Blaydes of Broken Arrow, Okla., Chede Conder of Austin, Texas, and Mary Ann Thornton of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the widow of Charles Henderson Sr. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jean Vines of Fort Smith; two sons, Charles Henderson Jr. of Colorado City, Texas, and Richard Henderson of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Kenneth Gray Kenneth Joe Gray, 60, of Barling died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a salesman for Truck Pro, attended Harvest Time Tabernacle Church and was in the Antique Car Club. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at 3 p.m. at Harmony Community Cemetery, north of Conway, under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He is survived by two daughters, Denise Wadsworth of Eules, Texas, and Shelia Jackson of Prescott; four sons, Ricky Joe Gray of Jacksonville, Michael Gray of McRae, Steven Gray of North Little Rock and James D. James Brooks MIAMI, Ariz. - James Rolland Brooks, 82, of Miami, Ariz., formerly of Mulberry, Ark., and Oklahoma, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000. He was a crane operator for Inspiration Copper, an Air Force veteran and a deacon at First Southern Baptist Church in Miami, Ariz.Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Ariz., with burial at Globe Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his wife, Connie; one daughter, Roberta Bittner of Globe, Ariz.; two sons, J.C. Brooks of Globe and Joe W. Brooks of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one sister, Bertha White of Mulberry; two brothers, Raymond Brooks of Muskogee, Okla., and Arthur Brooks of Bakersfield, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
