    3. WILLIAM MARTIN William T. "Bud" Martin, 80, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Fort Smith. He was a retired pilot for Arkansas Aviation, an Air Corps veteran of World War II and was commander of the Sebastian County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol. Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Chastain of Charleston and Jeri Boyd of Marine, Ill.; one son, Tom of Fort Smith; two sisters, Irene Earle and Jean Collins, both of Mundy, Texas; and six grandchildren. The family will visit with friends following the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hannah House, Newborns in Need, or Children's Emergency Crisis Center.
