DANNY FREEMAN ALTUS - Danny Lee Freeman, 54, of Altus died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a heavy construction worker. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Jethro. He is survived by his mother, Oma Price of Altus; and three brothers, Allen Ray Freeman of Pryor, Okla., Robert Freeman of Wellsville, Kan., and Darrel Freeman of Desoto, Kan. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. SAMMIE SIMMONS Sammie Simmons, 86, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, in his home. He was retired from Harding Glass after 35 years of service and was a member of local No. 4 Glass Workers and River of Life Pentecostal Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Hartford Memorial Park in Hartford. He is survived by his wife, Oleta; two daughters, Debbie Loop of Little Rock and Mae Jones of Tulsa; two sisters, Onie Blackman of Smithville, Okla., and Lorene Adkison of Henryetta, Okla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leon and Roy Brown, Raymond Becker, Monty Medlock, Billy Moore and Charles Carter. AUDREY FOX DYER - Audrey Harris Wilson Fox, 91, of Dyer died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, a Sunday school teacher at New Bethel Assembly of God in Dyer and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Alma Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Walters, Joan Davis and Nelda Burks, all of Alma; a son, Robert "Bob" Wilson of Alma; a sister, Emma Phillips of Florida; a brother, Garland "Gaino" Harris, of Alma; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Walker, Rick and Mike Wilson, Edward Walters, Jeff Burks and Brian Kimes. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class at New Bethel Assembly of God. The body may be viewed before the funeral. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or New Bethel Assembly of God in Dyer.
