    1. [ARSebast] Obituaries, May 10, 2001, Thursday
    2. Carolyn (Parsons) Smedley
    3. Good Morning! Thought maybe all of us could use a little humor today. If your day has started out lousy...I can only wish you good hunting in genealogy today and offer the obits......BUT also thought you might like to hear how the obits are done every day. I am in the kitchen finishing cleaning strawberries, and the same sound starts coming from the computer room next to the kitchen. It starts every day after breakfast and continues until I go into the COMPUTER and sit down to do the obituaries. No, it is not the computer....but..... I have a toy (real small black & apricot) poodle, which bosses me around all over the house and tells ME when to do my chores. Today wasn't any different. She makes a sound like a small baby crying, trying to talk. If I go into the room immediately, she shuts up and lays on her TURTLE pillow, if not, it continues to get LOUDER and louder. So now she is laying sleep on her turtle very contented that I am doing things that she knows have to be done. END OF STORY The following obits appeared in the Times Record today: HOUGH, Wanda (HOUGH) [WEAKS]; 61; Fort Smith AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps MILLER, Ray; 76; Lamar AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps NICHOLS, Lucille (McLAUGHLIN); 78; Ozark AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps DAVIS, Bernice O (CURTIS); 69; Conway AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps JOHNSON, Earnestine (FRANCIS) [COOK]; 58; Poteau OK; SW Times (AR); 2001-5-10; scsps HEFFINGTON, Calvin H; 86; Fort Smith AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps GRAGG, Shirley Mae (GRUBB); 69; Van Buren AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps WALKER, Hilta "Sis" ( ); 85; Fort Smith AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps FUNK, Dora Aline ( ); 80; Wichita KS; SW Times (AR); 2001-5-10; scsps WOFFORD, Hazel (CASLEBERRY); 82; Hot Springs AR; SW Times; 2001-5-10; scsps For you who have followed the "saga" of Rose Cunningham, who has the VIRUS...I tried to call three people in California yesterday to see if she is alright. I think I found her, but the teenager was afraid to give any information out, so I didn't press. She probably has taken the computer in to have it repaired. I looked at my "deleted files" and the last the LINE has heard from her was 4/3 when her uncle died in Quinton, OK. Hopefully, she will get it rid of the virus.
