    3. DONALD TAYLOR HATFIELD - Donald Lloyd Taylor, 63, Hatfield, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, in his home. He was born May 1, 1937, in Hatfield. He was a truck driver for the Shipley Baking Co. for 30 years delivering bread, past president of the Hatfield School Board with 16 years of service on the board and a FFA alumnus. He also was a member of the Hatfield United Methodist Church. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hatfield United Methodist Church under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; a son, Houston, Magnolia; two daughters, Ferroll “Tammy” Taylor and Sherri Ross, both of Hatfield; a brother, John, Canyon, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Hays and Opal Smith, both of Mena; two granddaughters, Madison and Hannah Ross, both of Hatfield Memorial contributions may be made to the Mena ELIZABETH WALKER Elizabeth “Bettye” Walker, 89, Fort Smith, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a retired office manager for Miller Jewelry Store, a member of Goddard United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women member and past Worthy Grand Matron Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of Willie G. “Bill” Walker. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by a sister, Kathryn E. Been, Pocola; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the Men’s Bible Class of Goddard United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Goddard United Methodist Church, 1922 Dodson Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901. SULA PHILLIPS ROLAND - Sula Jean Phillips, 67, Roland, died Friday, April 27, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was an apartment manager and a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today in Roland City Cemetery in Roland under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland. She is survived by a son, Danny Earp, Fort Smith; four sisters, Anna Barnes and Lois Daniels, both of Roland, Estelle Clayton, Gerome, Idaho, and Arvelle Hedgdorn, San Fernando, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Nathaniel and Hayden Earp, both of Fort Smith, and Jessica and Blake Flurry, both of Roland. Pallbearers will be members of Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Roland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Reno, Nev. VELMA ROGERS RUDY - Velma Rogers, 87, Rudy, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a home maker and the widow of J.D. Rogers. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Rogers of the home; two sons, Eddie Rogers, Russellville and Dan Rogers, Van Buren; two sisters, Vesta Wilson and Irene Caldwell, both of Van Buren; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
