He served as an employee over the years at Athletic Mining and Smelting, Morrell Packing Co., Eads Brothers Furniture, McCords Wholesale Grocer and Dustmat Rental Service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Cavanaugh Baptist Church.Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ida Louise Wibbing; one son, Roland A. Lona McCracken Lona McCracken, 91, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and owner/operator of McCracken Ice Cream.
